THE KSD PROCESS
I'm a very process-driven designer. Not in a boring way, but because keeping things organised means your project and deliverables stay on track and nothing falls through the cracks.
It's something my clients often rave about. That said, if your project needs a slightly different approach, I can be flexible to make it work for you.
YOUR BRAND IDENTITY AND WEBSITE IN 5 SIMPLE STEPS
1 | CONNECT
You get in touch, read through this page and then book your 30-minute complimentary discovery call. We'll have a proper chat about what you need, and I'll answer all your questions.
2 | CONSULT
Once you're booked in, I'll set you up in Asana (our brilliant project management tool). It will help us to keep everything on track. You'll complete some simple pre-work tasks to help me understand your requirements fully, then we'll have a design strategy session via Zoom to discuss everything in detail.
3 | BRAND IDENTITY DESIGN
Time for KSD to get creative! If you're having brand work done, I start by creating a comprehensive mood board that'll direct the visual path your branding takes.
Once this is signed off, work begins on creating your brand concept. Using colour, typography, photography and your values, I'll present one visual brand identity concept in a detailed brand presentation that includes logos, colour use, fonts and collateral pieces so you can visualise how it all fits together.
In response to feedback from you, I'll refine and perfect your brand identity. Then I'll move to your website if you've booked that service too.
4 | WEBSITE DESIGN
Our sights turn to your website. I'll take everything we've created in your brand identity (or use what you already have) and translate that into your new website design. I'll showcase the design, walk you through the user journey and explain the design decisions.
Again, you’ll have an opportunity to share feedback before I refine the design to get everything just right. Once signed off, I'll build your site and get it ready for launch.
5 | Launch
Go time! Once everything's ready to launch, I'll hand over all your brand files along with your comprehensive brand style guide. I'll also connect your domain if required and provide post-launch support to ensure you're completely confident managing your shiny new website.
YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

I'll set you up on Asana (the KSD project management tool) use Zoom for meetings and presentations and share work on Google Drive. We'll have regular contact during your project meaning that you'll have plenty of opportunities to provide feedback.

Websites designed with Squarespace are beautiful. They're also affordable, user friendly, easy to maintain and flexible. Squarespace is tablet and mobile-friendly, straightforward to set up and offers a custom domain and Google email integration. If you already have a domain, I can incorporate that for you. KSD is also a Squarespace Circle Member meaning you can access a discounted first year and other benefits.

For existing clients, I can add on other website design services such as additional pages, landing pages, blog, shop and members area. On the branding side I can also support with PPT, social media graphics, adverts, brochures, letterheads, business cards, lead magnets and event collateral. Just let me know what you need when we have our discovery call.

If it's a website project I'll require the written content with headers and buttons clearly identified.
I'll also need relevant brand graphics and photography. Graphic files need supplying in an editable, vector digital format and photographs in a high-resolution digital format. If you choose to buy stock photographs, we can suggest stock libraries. If you'd like me to search for photographs for you, I can provide a separate estimate for that.
I can recommend copywriters and photographer associates if you need help with any of the above.
I also require your commitment to the timeline of the project and to provide feedback within the project schedule.

Once the contract has been signed, you'll need to pay a 40% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot in my schedule. Then 50% is due at the start of the project and the final 10% due when the project is complete, but before the final files are handed over.

Squarespace is the chosen Content Management System which is used to build your website. Squarespace pricing and billing aren't included in your payment schedule. You're responsible for choosing your own plan and maintaining the payments; however, advice and consultation will be provided.

No. You can buy your domain directly through Squarespace. However, if you already have a domain somewhere else (like GoDaddy), then don't worry, I'll just redirect your domain to your Squarespace website.
